At the previous Executive Committee meeting which took place at the Pentecost University College on the 17th of March, 2011, it was agreed that the Excom shall continue to hold its monthly meetings. However, face-to-face meetings shall occur on a quarterly basis in January, April, July and October. Meeting days shall be the first Thursday of every month for both online and face-to-face meetings. All face-to-face meetings shall be held on the campus of Pentecost University College, Sowutuom, Accra. Excom members living outside Accra can attend all meetings online over skype.

IEEE Student branches provide an opportunity for student members to begin networking in their areas of interest, and future profession. There are, at the moment, three(3) student branches in Ghana at their respective educational institutions.

The African Winter School on Information Theory and Communications 2010 will take place at Mopani Camp in the Kruger National Park, the largest game reserve in South Africa, from June 1st until June 4th. Organized by the Telecommunications Research Group of the University of Johannesburg, the goal of the winter school is to provide opportunities for increased co-operation and knowledge sharing between African students, universities and research institutes.
